The new distribution center of SEGRO in Los Gavilanes joins a portfolio of assets whose area exceeds 6.7 million square meters in Europe. The company, which is listed on the FTSE 100 Index, acquired the land from OCA to develop its new distribution platform, which has a surface area of 47,000 square meters. SEGRO plans to finish the works by the end of this year.
The director of the British fund in Spain, David Alcázar, valued this project very positively for “the excellent location” of the Los Gavilanes Logistics Park, located 14 kilometers from Madrid and next to one of the main road nodes in the south of the capital. Alcázar explained that the company will develop in Los Gavilanes “Class A buildings for the logistics and distribution of last generation, designed for customers of the present and future and with the quality that SEGRO prints to all its assets”.

Inaugurated in March 2015, Los Gavilanes Logistics Park has a total area of 1 million square meters. The first companies to settle there were Decathlon and Cotsco.
